The Life-Force of Congress ParkĀ

For this project, I explored Congress Park in downtown Saratoga Springs, a place I had never visited despite attending Skidmore College for two years. I was drawn to the park for its natural beauty and the opportunity to observe both wildlife and people interacting with the space. Following trails of ducks and exploring ponds, foliage, and architectural elements, I aimed to capture the symbiotic relationship between the park and its inhabitants.

Over several weeks, I visited at different times of day, taking hundreds of photos per visit. In the studio, I curated and grouped images that fit my visual narrative, using contact sheets to refine my selection. The final series was arranged to create visual balance and communicate the spirit, diversity, and life-force of Congress Park.
